Architecture / UML

Hardware industrial design

Four device forms need a shared design story that stays visibly short of a factory.

Accepted source af5af66a28e3 · ACCEPTED_MAIN · digital-design

UML and placeholder meshes are digital concept material. Physical validation is pending. Not EVT hardware.

Current is shown first. Future and legacy stay labeled. A rendered SVG is used when accepted main already committed one. Otherwise the Mermaid or Markdown source is shown and is not executed in the browser.

Current

Component — current

What this diagram shows

Components are **files and packages in this repo**, plus the OS sibling contract. There is no factory API.

What this diagram does NOT prove

This diagram does not prove a manufactured device, measured ergonomics, or certified hardware.

Composite structure — current

current mermaid

What this diagram shows

Nested parts of one first-party SKU as represented **digitally**. Example: Handheld Hybrid (public SoM pinout). Other SKUs share the same outer ports with different inner compute (COM-HPC or nRF or dock controllers).

Future

Future — physical EVT lab and CM line

What this diagram shows

Not deployed. Shown so reviewers can see what is **out of scope** for the digital packet.

What this diagram shows

Early tree: `cad/openscad/*.scad` concepts, `schematics/*_system_block.kicad_sch` skeletons, `docs/00_START_HERE.md` “not manufacturing-ready”.
